Matter Unit Continues

This week we worked with solid and liquid matter as well as dissolving sugar in water! 

Below are the pictures of the students investigating the interaction between two melting ice cubes of different colors. After they constructed models to describe how the resulting mixture of liquid forms at the bottom of the pan. 

Below are pictures of the students using pan scales to weigh the two types of matter they will then combine. After they constructed a model to explain the interaction of the sugar cubes and the water.
