My reading class, along with Mrs. Marion's, had a special visitor today. Emory Loiselle, a World War II veteran and Burlington resident, spoke to us today. He answered many questions, shared stories, and told us about all of his special talents, including pattern woodworking and archery! We are thankful and appreciative for his service and for taking time to talk to the children!
His visit was a great way to end the book we finished reading, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. The historical fiction book takes place during World War II in Denmark, which was occupied by Nazi Germany. We ended the meeting with a huge THANK YOU to him for his service!
**Thank you to Urvi Agarwalla for arranging this for us!
