ELA Letter Writing

We read Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. It is an historical fiction book based on the Holocaust and the role Denmark played in saving Jews from the Nazis.  We then watched the movie Forget Me Not, based on the story of Anne Frank. Now students are researching real victims of the Holocaust and writing letters as if they were interviewing them.
